At Hops and Berries we want to share our passion for making great beer and wine at home. We are a home brew and wine making supply shop located in Old Town Fort Collins near the corner of Mountain and Remington. The process of making craft beverages at home can range from relatively simple to complex and we feel that many people will enjoy the opportunity to explore the range of styles they can produce themselves.

Colin and Shannon Westcott started Hops and Berries in the fall of 2005 (with a lot of help from their son, Elias). Having recently moved to Fort Collins, they were shocked to find there was no home brew and wine supply store. So, rather than sit idly by, they took it upon themselves to start one.

The Westcotts moved to Fort Collins in October from Anchorage, AK with their 13 month old son Elias. In Alaska, Colin brewed for Midnight Sun Brewing Co. and Shannon was a project manager for a Web development company. Colin has nine years of commercial brewing experience (having started home brewing at the age of 19 after taking his father’s equipment). Over the past eight years, Shannon has absorbed a vast knowledge about the brewing process. Eventually, the two began making mead and wine at home also. As a result, both have a lot of knowledge that they’re very willing to share.

Hops and Berries carries everything necessary to make beer and wine at home, with ingredients and equipment ranging from basic to advanced. And, if it’s not on the shelves, a simple request can get it there.
